Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 25 August 2026

These terms apply whenever you book a course with DM Learning Ltd ("DM Learning", "we", "us", "our"), whether through this website or directly with us. By making a booking, you agree to these terms.

1. Who we are

DM Learning Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 14668124, registered office 18 Lawton Street, Congleton, England, CW12 1RP.

2. Our courses

Individual Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) places can be booked directly through this website. Group and in-house training is arranged individually following an enquiry through our group quote form, and is confirmed by us in writing once details (dates, numbers, venue, and price) are agreed; where anything in that written confirmation differs from these general terms, the written confirmation takes priority for that booking.

All EFAW training is delivered under our Highfield Qualifications approval as an accredited training centre.

3. Eligibility

The minimum age to attend an EFAW course with us is 18. Candidates must be physically able to take part in the practical elements of the course (for example, CPR practice on the floor); if you have a condition that may affect this, please contact us before booking so we can discuss what's needed.

Photos and video are taken during the course for verification purposes. By attending, you consent to this. See our Privacy Policy for how these are stored and used.

4. Booking and payment

A booking is confirmed once we've received full payment. Full payment for your course is due within 24 hours of making a booking. Payment can be made by bank transfer or by card in person. If full payment isn't received within 24 hours, we reserve the right to release the booked place.

5. Cancellations and rescheduling

You can cancel or reschedule your booking free of charge, with a full refund of any amount paid, up to 48 hours before the course start time.

If you cancel, or ask to reschedule, within 48 hours of the course start time, no refund will be issued and the booking cannot be rescheduled. This also applies if you simply don't attend (a "no-show"): the booking is lost and no refund is given.

To cancel or reschedule, contact us at danny@lifeandsoul.ltd or +44 7368 194055 as early as possible.

6. If we need to cancel or reschedule a course

Occasionally we may need to cancel or reschedule a course ourselves, for example due to trainer illness or insufficient numbers on a shared session. If this happens, we'll give you as much notice as we can, and you'll be offered a full refund or a free rebooking to another available date, whichever you prefer. We won't be liable for any other costs you may have incurred as a result (for example, time off work arranged around the original date).

7. Certification

On successful completion of an EFAW course, you'll receive a Highfield-accredited certificate, valid for 3 years from the date of issue. Your certificate is stored on your DM Learning account and is available to download at any time, free of charge, there's no separate "replacement certificate" process or fee, if you ever need another copy, just log in and download it again.

Certification depends on satisfactory participation in and completion of the course's practical and knowledge requirements, as assessed by your trainer on the day, in line with Highfield's qualification standards.

8. Conduct

We want every session to be safe and effective for everyone attending. We reserve the right to remove any participant from a course, without refund, whose behaviour we reasonably consider disruptive, unsafe, or abusive towards our staff or other participants.

9. Liability

DM Learning Ltd holds public liability insurance appropriate to its training activities; details are available on request.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under English law. Subject to that, we won't be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your booking.

10. Group and in-house training

Group bookings made through our enquiry form are not confirmed until we've sent you written confirmation of the course details, price, and payment terms, and received full payment in line with that confirmation. We do not take deposits. Cancellation, rescheduling, and payment terms for group bookings will be set out in that written confirmation and may differ from the individual-booking terms above, depending on what's agreed.

11. Circumstances beyond our control

We won't be responsible for any failure or delay in providing a course caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, illness, or other events that make it genuinely unsafe or impractical to run the session as planned. Where this happens, section 6 above (rescheduling or refund) applies.

12. Complaints

If you're unhappy with any aspect of your course or booking, please contact us directly at danny@lifeandsoul.ltd so we can put things right. If your complaint relates to the conduct of the qualification itself rather than our service, you're also entitled to raise it with Highfield Qualifications, our awarding body.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; the version in force at the time you make a booking is the one that applies to it. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
